Warning alerts about medical and health aspects such as heart attacks or strokes seem to be showing up all over American radio these days. TV and radio advertisements tell us what to do if we feel dizziness, passing out, numbness, and so on. But, hardly ever will we see a commercial outlining common anxiety symptoms, which is especially useless considering so many people go through them and are very confused by them.
Feeling anxiety symptoms is exceptionally common in our western culture, where we get faced with stressful situations on a persistent basis. Whether it is the despair that we’re off-course in an uncharted country or we’re going to be late for a meeting or when the phone rings unexpectedly, we all endure panic at some point in our lives. Lots of people on the other hand could have anxiety symptoms for what seems to be no reason at all, and can misconstrue the symptoms with the symptoms of having a cardiac arrest or some other medical condition. People who suffer from panic attacks often confuse these symptoms.
Anxiety disorder symptoms are clearly different for everyone, and frequently it’s clear that you’re just having anxiety – right before speaking in front of a large group, when you’re about to marry, when you open your front door and see a weird looking stranger standing there; these events can easily make anyone tense and panic ridden! Although for many of us, anxiety symptoms could also include shortness of breath, heart spasms, nausea, chest pains, constricted breathing, tingling or numbness in the fingers, face, or toes. Stomach aches, and headaches are not uncommon either. You can appreciate how these conditions could easily be misdiagnosed as a cardiac arrest or asthma or any type of other conditions.
If you feel these anxiety symptoms on a regular basis, and particularly if they seem to occur for no reason, you should probably consult with your doctor. At the outset, you’ll want to eliminate the possibility of it being a heart attack or something that severe. Secondly, he or she can prescribe pills or therapies that can help you live with the anxiety symptoms while at the same time working with you to uncover why you are tense and anxious to begin with. You could have some chemical imbalances in the brain or could need to incorporate a number of new positive techniques on how to process an event so that you’ll be able to minimize the start of an anxiety attack before it gets out of control.
I managed to overcome my anxiety disorder after years of struggling and pulling my family through the agony with me. The solution I used was totally natural, drug-free and did not require ongoing counseling – I’m happy to report that I’ve been free of anxiety for a number of years now, I only wish I had found it years earlier.
